| Descrizione sintetica in italiano | L’assegno è destinato a una ricerca che dovrà individuare, reperire e analizzare fonti e documenti per giungere alla compilazione di un regesto delle testimonianze utili a ricostruire la riscoperta umanistica dell’acquedotto Vergine nel Quattrocento e Cinquecento, che tenga conto degli episodi più significativi di questo capitolo della storia del monumento antico, ovvero delle vicende che ne attestano lo studio, la conservazione e la messa in valore da parte di architetti e artisti moderni, con particolare attenzione alle voci manoscritte o a stampa al fine di ricostruire il contesto in cui si progettarono e si effettuarono i maggiori interventi architettonici e decorativi lungo il suo tracciato |
| Descrizione sintetica in inglese | The grant is for research that will have to identify, find and analyze sources and documents in order to arrive at the compilation of a registry of evidence useful for reconstructing the rediscovery humanities of the Virgin Aqueduct in the 15th and 16th centuries, taking into account the most significant episodes in this chapter of the history of the ancient monument, that is, the events that attest to its study, preservation and enhancement by architects and modern artists, with particular attention to manuscript or printed entries in order to reconstruct the context in which they designed and major architectural and decorative interventions were carried out along its route |
