| Descrizione sintetica in italiano | The researcher will contribute to the development of thin-film deposition protocols based on PVD, CVD and solution-based approaches, including magnetron sputtering, ALD, and other chemical liquid/vapor-based routes for passivation and interface engineering. He/She will work on the preparation of halide perovskite films, metal oxide heterojunctions, and composition-gradient materials libraries, with particular attention to reproducibility and scalability. The activity will include systematic characterization of morphology, crystal structure, composition, thickness, and optical properties by techniques such as SEM, XRD, Raman, UV-Vis, and related methods, together with photoelectrochemical testing under illumination. The researcher will also support the interpretation of the obtained data, the optimization of deposition parameters, and the coordination of experimental activities related to advanced operando and high-throughput characterization workflows. |
| Descrizione sintetica in inglese | The research project will focus on the fabrication and optimization of advanced thin-film materials and heterostructures for photoelectrochemical and photovoltaic applications, with particular emphasis on halide perovskites and metal oxide heterojunctions. The researcher will develop deposition strategies for compositionally graded and interface-engineered materials libraries using physical and chemical vapor-phase techniques. The activity will mainly address the controlled growth of functional absorber, passivation, and interfacial layers, with the aim of tuning composition, thickness, morphology, and band alignment. A major part of the work will be devoted to the structural, optical, and photoelectrochemical characterization of the deposited films and devices, in order to establish robust correlations between fabrication conditions, materials properties, and functional performance. |
