| Descrizione sintetica in italiano | The project aims at contributing to the understanding of how information technology impacts on the contexts,practices and cultures of work in organizations and on the intersections between organizations and individual workers (free-lance).The project aims at answering to the following broad research questions:(1) how and at which conditions IT empowers humans in organizations and promotes more democratic workplaces?;(2) what are the perils and the risks associated with a digitized workplace in terms of workers’ privacy and defense, in settings where their professional and personal information are continuously fed into–and elaborated by–increasingly powerful tools?(3) Does IT reduce the democracy in the market for autonomous work and for free lancers?(4) How much,and why,does IT reduce the judgement,autonomy of individual workers and how much,if it happens,does it constrain humans to the logics and mechanisms imposed by cyber-physical systems? |
