Descrizione sintetica in italiano | Thir research proposal is concerned with bioenergy systems planning and optimization modeling in the perspective of locating biomass plants within a region and properly allocating available biomass feedstock to those plants.The use of biomass as a feedstock to fuel energy conversion industrial plants involves an accurate evaluation of several correlated and consecutive activities.An operational integration of all these activities within the comprehensive biomass to energy supply chain should be considered of the uppermost importance in order to reach competitive standards.The research goal is to develop an integrated methodology combining Geographic Information Systems and spatial optimization mathematical and modeling procedures to plan an optimal biomass energy system. |
