Bando per assegno di ricerca
Titolo del progetto di ricerca in italiano | Il ruolo delle proteine leganti l'RNA, LARP4A, LARP4B e LARP6, nel cancro utilizzando un approccio metabolomico basato su NMR |

Titolo del progetto di ricerca in inglese | The role and mechanism of the RNA binding proteins LARP4A, LARP4B and LARP6 in cancer cell biology |
Settore Concorsuale | 03 - Scienze chimiche |
S.S.D | CHIM/06 - CHIMICA ORGANICA |
Descrizione sintetica in italiano | RNA binding proteins are master regulators of gene expression and their role in cancer biology has become increasingly clear, though the functional and mechanistic details remain mostly unknown. The proposed project will focus on elucidating the role and mechanism of three RNA binding proteins, namely LARP4A, LARP4B and LARP6 in cancer cell biology. LARP4A, LARP4B and LARP6 belong to the family of La-related proteins and play a pivotal role in numerous essential cellular functions, and defects lead to pathologies, including cancer. Despite this, the detailed mechanism of action of these proteins remains unclear. Recent studies proved that LARP4A, LARP4B and LARP6 affect cell morphology and motility in different cancer types and severely influence cancer cell metabolism and reprogramming. |
