Descrizione sintetica in italiano | Research identifies a lack of resources, long working hours in stressful, high-pressure environments and exposure to adverse events as challenges which can impact humanitarian aid workers and first line practitioners working in the migration ecosystem. Limited research has been devoted to explore professional challenges and opportunities, job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness of humanitarian aid workers and border security personnel. No study so far has investigated how humanitarian aid work has continued operating during the global Covid-19 pandemic and how it has provided aid to vulnerable communities. By understanding how humanitarian organizations and those working in the field have adapted to the changes brought on by Covid-19, we will be able to gain further knowledge on best practices and actions of humanitarian aid organizations taken during this unprecedented time. |
