| Descrizione sintetica in italiano | The planned activities concern: i) the development of thermodynamic and electrochemical models of the entire conversion chain and under partial load, ii) the application to new co-electrolysis systems, iii) the analysis of complex application scenarios and iv) the use of codes for thermo-economic analysis of the energy system and network. The candidate must have skills in the field of modeling of complex systems, advanced energy systems equipped with electrochemical devices and mastery of calculation codes and numerical tools for processing experimental data of components operating within energy systems networks. |
| Descrizione sintetica in inglese | The project is part of the research activities underway at the Energy Systems group of the University of Bologna, on the subject of power-to-gas and innovative energy systems, including hydrogen, based on the use of non-programmable renewables for production of synthesis gas (CH4 and H2), by means of electrochemical conversion devices. The current study concerns the energy and economic numerical modeling of the performance of complex systems, which also include the integration of high-temperature co-electrolysers and experimental reactors for methanation. |
