Descrizione sintetica in italiano The research will take place in the framework of the collaboration between the Physics Dept and the ISIS neutron source of the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in UK. A fast neutron beamline is under construction at ISIS for the irradiation of electronic devices and investigation of soft errors. The Physics Dept will contribute to the design and optimization of the beamline and of a similar beamline for the European Spallation Source. The position is for work to be performed at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory for simulation of neutron production and transport via Monte Carlo techniques.
