Descrizione sintetica in italiano The research focuses on the consequences of populism on the quality of the bureaucracy, government and the political process. More specifically the underlying research projects will investigate: 1) the effects of populism on the selection of bureaucrats, 2) the role of the bureaucracy in the prevention of extreme reforms, 3) the threat of over-reformation.
