| Descrizione sintetica in italiano | and implementing various approaches to optimize electrospinning conditions using green solvents and bioplastics, and obtaining fibers with controlled morphology. The samples will then be characterized in terms of chemical composition, morphology, and physico-mechanical properties. The research fellow's training plan includes the use of polymer material characterization techniques such as: differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetry (TGA), wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-Vis absorption and emission spectroscopy, mechanical and dynamic-mechanical analysis, IR and Raman spectroscopy. |
| Descrizione sintetica in inglese | The research activity of the grant holder involves developing nanostructured materials with nanofibrous morphology for surface treatment in various fields, such as art restoration cleaning, surface disinfection, and personal hygiene. Specifically, the materials must be designed and produced from polymer solutions, with a preference for using "green" solvents and bioplastics. The project will be carried out at the G. Ciamician Chemistry Department's research laboratories, primarily at the Bologna site (Polymer Science and Biomaterials Laboratories). Part of the activities will take place at the Microchemistry and Microscopy Art Diagnostic Laboratory on the Ravenna Campus. |
