| Descrizione sintetica in italiano | We aim to study learning processes and their applications. The main goal is to describe the formation of a common language among agents as a consequence of a reinforced process on the space of possible actions. The agents "agree" when the communication produces a positive outcome, i.e. when the agent who observes the true state of the world induces the others (through a proper "communication" process) to choose the optimal action. Every success in this context is characterized by a reinforcement on the words used. Modeling such reinforcement by an attraction function, we aim to determine which properties translates into a fast convergence to a common efficient language. We also aim to study generalized preferential attachment models and their applications to network theory. |
