| Descrizione sintetica in italiano | The Research Program has three different purposes: 1) to acknowledge the complexity of different corporate governance configurations by systematically monitoring ownership, governance and leadership structures of all the companies listed in the Italian stock exchange in the last decade; 2) to devote more attention to ownership and governance characteristics of banks in order to learn more about what is special about banking governance; 3) to tease out governance mechanism effectiveness before, during, and after financial crisis. The analysis will be performed using adequate quantitative methodologies combined with qualitative insights. The research scholarship (Assegno di Ricerca) will be granted to a young scholar that will support the Research Program, and particularly will be involved in the collection of data, analyses, and contributing to drafting of scientific papers (at least one) that will be targeted to a scientific international journal |
