Descrizione sintetica in italiano | This PhD position is part of ANTARES, which aims to develop a new holistic approach for the design of smart systems for extracting as much energy available from ambient vibrations, developing novel energy efficient transducers, developing novel self-powered active vibration control systems. The objective of this project is to investigate the feasibility of a smart panel with piezo transducers that produce a localised flexural field to reduce sound transmission. The project will involve theoretical and experimental work. The project is highly multi-disciplinary and linked to other topics of ANTARES. The fellow will be supervised by Prof Paolo Gardonio (http://people.uniud.it/page/paolo.gardonio email paolo.gardonio@uniud.it) and will be hired on a contract for 36 months.
