| Descrizione sintetica in italiano | The present research project is aimed to the valorization of fish wastewaters into microbial biomasses throughout green and sustainable approaches. In this context, within the present research project, different fish waste waters from fish processing will be considered and exploited through tailored biotechnological approaches based on safe microorganisms to obtain microorganism-based ingredient as biostimulants. The biotechnological approaches will be firstly optimized at lab scale in relation to the starting fish wastewaters and then int 15L bioreactor. |
| Descrizione sintetica in inglese | Research activities 1) Selection and characterization of the selected fishwastewaters in terms of composition and chemico-physical features. This phase will be necessary to adjust the medium and to select the microbial cultures to be used. 2) Selection of the most appropriate microorganisms with QPS status, belonging to the DISTAL collection and already characterized for some biostimulating features, in relation to their ability to adapt and grow in the optimezed substrate. 3) Selection of the most appropriate growth condition in the formulated medium. 4) Optimization of the biotechnological processes in relation to chemico-physical variables (pH, temperature, composition of the medium) in order to maximize the yield in biomass in up-scale conditions. 5) Support in reporting activities |
