Descrizione sintetica in inglese	The Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management of Università Bocconi, Milan (Italy), www.unibocconi.eu, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position. Candidates should have expertise in public sector management and policy analysis, including, but not limited to, governance and administrative reforms, economic regulation, civil service and budget reform, performance management, non-profit organizations, and welfare programs.
Descrizione del bando in inglese	Candidates should have expertise in public sector management and policy analysis, including, but not limited to, governance and administrative reforms, economic regulation, civil service and budget reform, performance management, non-profit organizations, and welfare programs. The appointment will start with the academic year 2012-2013 (September 2012). Contracts will run up to eight years (with one paid sabbatical year and subject to renewal after the first three years). There is the possibility of promotion to a tenured position by the end of the period. Applicants must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Italian is not required though it is encouraged that the individual acquire a working knowledge of the language if appointed to the position. Responsibilities include teaching and, most importantly, productivity in research. The appointed person is expected to publish in international refereed journals. Applicants should have –or be close to completing – a Ph.D. and will have demonstrated strong potential in research and teaching together with an ability to engage with policy and research communities in Europe and around the world. Compensation and teaching load are competitive with other top European academic institutions.
