Descrizione sintetica in italiano	New models and tools for health and care delivery: development and validation of new ICT-based approaches for improving our ability to assess and monitor motor behaviour and performance in the general population.
Descrizione sintetica in inglese	Research activities will be conducted in the framework of the PreventIT project (H2020). PreventIT will develop and test an ICT-based mHealth System for the consumer market that will enable early identification of risk of age-related functional decline, and will engender behavioural change in younger older adults in order to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle. The research activity, consistent with the aims of the European project, shall include: the development of novel methods for functional assessment and activity monitoring suitable for modern consumer electronics devices such as smartphone and smartwatches. New sensing approaches involve collecting, storing, processing and fusing large volumes of data related to everyday human activities and to potential risk factors for functional decline. Validity of such innovative approaches is to be demonstrated.
